After a long wait, I am happy to introduce Dr. Smarts, the new coolest way to prepare for Step studying! By providing you and a charity of your choice money and points for correctly answering Step 1/2/3 practice questions, Dr. Smarts brings together all the best elements of altruism and positive reinforcement to your test practice. Here’s how it works!

1. Set up an account at http://www.drsmarts.com

2. Sign up for a charity; there are plenty of options, and you’ll get to see how much you’ve contributed with your correct questions so far. It may not look like much so far, but it’s a great motivation to keep taking the quizzes when you know it’ll help someone else out who really needs it.

3. Rack up the points! Take daily quizzes and watch your points collect. When you get enough, you can trade them in for gift cards. Free money for taking practice questions, booyah! I have a ways to go, but I just started. By the looks of it, you could get a reward every 30-40 days if you take the quizzes everyday.

Dr. Smarts has questions for every USMLE Step exam, and the questions so far have seemed really well written. They include an area for submitting question feedback right in the quiz, too, so you can let them know if you find typos or bigger problems.

That’s it! Go earn some money! I mean…go study!
