VPN Client and Sharepoint Setup
Hey everyone -- I hope this helps you guys get set up.

NB:  Still working on How-To for people with 64-bit operating systems!  If you have a NEW computer running Windows Vista, this might mean you.  We have it running on at least 1 64-bit system, so hopefully this shouldn't take long to figure out.

EDIT:  64-bit Windows people, here is the link for the 64-bit VPN Server:
Okay, on to the How-To.

Hyperlinks to help get people set up:

  1. Click the first link.
  2. Input your Groupwise information.
  3. Download the appropriate VPN client.
  4. Download the "New VPN Profile" from the same page (right click and select "save as" or "save file" or what have you).
  5. Run the VPN client program, click "Import," and select the "New VPN Profile" you downloaded in step 4.
  6. It will probably now prompt you for your Groupwise login information
Hopefully, at this point the bottom of the VPN client program will say "Connected to HSC-Network" blah blah blah.  You're almost there.
  1. In the VPN client program, right click "HSC-Network..." under the "Connection Entry" section, and select the "Set as Default..." option.
  2. With this program running, click on the second link at the top of this page.
  3. Set this page as a bookmark so you can access it easy later (this will depend on what internet browser you use, so you'll just have to figure it out).
  4. Enter your Groupwise login.
  5. BAM!  You're done!  Doesn't have much content now, but at least you have it set up for later!
For future access, when you want to get on Sharepoint all you'll have to do is run the VPN client program (or set it to run automatically), and go to the website (which you've saved as a bookmark, right?).

Let us know if you have any problems:
