Bottom line: Micromedex is a great drug information app, and we can also get their drug interactions app for free as UNMSOM students.

Hopefully, many of you have already tried the free Micromedex app, which is a great alternative to ePocrates for your iPhone or iPad (Android version coming soon).  If not, you can get it here.

I just discovered today that you can also get their $40 drug interactions app free as a UNM student.  To do so, you'll first need to download the app from here.  Then, to get the password to activate it, you'll need to be on campus (preferably at the library).  Go to the HSLIC databases page here, scroll down and click "Micromedex."  From there, click the word "Mobile" at the top of the screen and instructions will pop up with your password.  Works like a charm!

Enjoy,
