Dynamed mobile device installation How-To

Dynamed is a clinical reference tool created by physicians for physicians and other healthcare professionals for use primarily at the 'point-of-care' with clinically-organized summaries for more than 3,200 topics. UNM pays for us to be able to have individual access on our devices, so there is no need to buy it on your own. Some claim this resource is even better than up-to-date. Installing this app on your mobile device will allow you instant access to the database without having to repeatedly enter your login information and without needing to access the internet. The database will be stored on your device allowing convenient and complete access. This will allow you instant access to tons of clinical information while you’re on continuity clinic rotation or for disease information during PBLs.

General Instructions

Dynamed is available through skyscape to be installed natively on your mobile device.  Please perform the following steps to install this valuable resource on your device:

1. Contact DynaMed Support at to request a DynaMed serial number.  In your email, you need to include the type of device that you’re doing to install DynaMed on, and the fact that you’re a medical student at UNM. Also, make sure you use your email account to send the email.  An example email might be:

Subject: Subscription serial number

I would like to put Dynamed on my (insert the name of your mobile device here).  I'm a medical student at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Please send me a serial number.

2. After receiving your serial number (you should receive it in less than 24 hours), click here to register for a Skyscape account. A Skyscape account is required in order to register and download the Dynamed database to your device.
